Maybe another time.

i wanted my favorite bag of chips but saw it was now 4.59 a bag, and i thought to myself, maybe another time.

i thought about maybe going to the movies. after i paid my ticket, fees, and popcorn, it was around $37. i wasn’t thinking about the cost, i just wanted to watch a movie. the next time i wanted to watch, i checked my bank account, and saw that some other things needed to be prioritized. so i said maybe another time.

i love getting pollo tropical, it used to be something i often got back in middle school. it wasn’t the cheapest but it wasn’t expensive. lately, i’ve been weighing the cost of maintaining that bit of childhood nostalgia.

then one day it hit me.

i’m starting to say “maybe another time” to all of the things that i used to do when i was younger.
