I suppose it’s a good time to write.
I seem to do everything possible to make work (or my life) more difficult than it needs to be.
I’ve been at my job for four months now and I’m frustrated with myself for letting things slip through the cracks. I’m better than this.
I’m grateful the error was found in time so that it didn’t turn into a bigger deal, but nonetheless required additional time, effort and confession on my part.
At 47, I’m wondering if this is just my new normal. Will I continue to battle forgetfulness, mind fatigue and frankly…ambition? God forbid, as I’ve hardly anything set aside for retirement.
I’m trying and fighting internally to get to a point of living and breathing again. And yet every day I continue to live and breathe. A dichotomy of being a dynamic being.
I’m trying. I know this is a season.
The veil will lift and the sun will shine again.
The veil will fall and darkness will have its way.
I’ll ride the waves and feel it all. Someday I might wish for one just one more heartbreak. Not today. But someday.
